Perform among the best acoutics concert hall in Tallinn for piano and choral music
Regulation & important notice:
- The competition is open to contestant from all European countries of any nationality.
- Competitors can apply more than one category but for category classified by age group, they can only choose one age group to apply.
- Age is calculated as the day of application.
- The performance video must NOT involve any audio editing.
- For piano category: the video should show the whole keyboard and pedal. The performance video of each piece must be in one-cut.
For choral category: the video should show the whole choir while multiple angles are also allowed
For own choice repertoire of choral category, choir can choose to sing in their own language. - Contestant should mark clearly their category and the full name of the performing piece and composer in the video they submitted.
All video submission should be recorded after 1 Jan 2022. No prior performance is accepted.
Video submission should be through non-public youtube or dropbox link. Please do NOT send files to download. Please also ensure that the link is valid at all time till the announcement of result. In any case, an invalid link may result in disqualified. - For Young Composer category: contestant can submit more than one work but each composition will require a seperate application fee and each composer can submit maximum two pieces for evaluation. Please ensure that only original composition can be submitted. Each composer should confirm that the entire work or any part of the work would not violate copyright issues. The composition should not yet be published.
- Entry fee is not refundable or transferable.
- For piano solo own choice category, theme based and concerto category, contestant must perform from memory. However, for music of living composer category, piano duet, six-hand and Two-Piano category, contestant can choose to perform from memory or with score.
- Decision made by judge panel is final and should not be disputed
- 1st prize winner is limited to only one awardee while max. 2 awardees for 2nd & 3rd prize respectively. The no. of honorable mention could be a few more.
- Prizes for each class and Grand Prize winner will only be awarded if contestants reach the standards set by the organizer.
- Certificate and other awards can be delivered to contestant's address if they decide not to receive in the winners concert.
- Winners Concert is planned to hold on 10 June 2023 evening in Old Town Tallinn, Estonia. Concert venue will provide two concert grand pianos for winners of concerto and two-piano category, The venue is conveniently located in central old town which is close to many main tourist attractions and is easily accessible on foot.
- The copyright of all recordings and videos belongs to the properties of the organizer.
- Contestants should not give any inaccurate or misleading information in the entry form. Otherwise, the application will be disqualified.
- All personal information given by the contestants will be handled according to the privacy law.
